Dalila - apologies
Yes, I did fall into BP's trap. (You got me.) I apologize for suggesting that Arif Dalilah is sectarian minded and not a total Syrian, which caused a firestorm of complain and recrimination in my comment section. My fault. In haste, I copied a short bio of Dalilah sent by one of my readers which said that "he called for the Alawite sect not to follow the Assad family in their sectarian policies. He believed that this will cause the demise of the Alawite people."
I am a bit surprised that JAM, of all SC readers, would get so exercised by this statement as it is the line that he has been preaching. All the same, I have no knowledge that Dalilah thinks about Alawites as a community or would suggest a political strategy to them. Here is the information about Dalila that JAM suggests we read for the truth.
Also, I did not suggest he had been freed. My post began: "Unfortunately, Dr Kamal al-Labwani and Professor Aref Dalilah remain incarcerated."

""" as it is the line that he has been preaching """
This is another uncalled for attack.
I did not have to even say I am Alawi, and I do not do that anywhere else except for a reason pertaining to this Comment section.
For long you have presented the Assad regime as an Alawi regime with Secular Ideology fighting against Sunni Muslim BrotherHood, and that it is hated because the regime's men are Alawis. You in fat made it a fight between sunnis and alawis.
From the begining, posters in your Commet section were using your comment section to present the regime as an Alawi regime, and express hatred toward all Alawis in a very ugly manner. By decalring being Alawi, I wanted them to see that they were wrong, and to know the truth about how oppositions who happen to be Alawis feel toward the regime and that, I as one who hate the regime, probably much more than they do, that they are classifying me with the regime, and I wanted them to know how wrong this assumption is. Why do I hate it more than they do? Because it is being presented as representative of All Alawis and all crimes and thefts committed by the regime members (Whether they are Alawis or not() are committed hiding behind the label (Alawi Regime). But I am one that is never proud of any inheritted qualities or labels, but proud of what I have accomplished in life on my own,
though it became necessary here to say that I am Alawi just to show the truth that many ignore.
And get this into your mind:
I DO NOT HATE THE ASSAD REGIME BECAUSE THIS REGIME WLL BE THE CASE OF ALAWI DEMISE.
I hate the regime for every thing else. The deformation of the truth, however, being presented here in your blog, months ago was that this Regime is Alawi, and that all Alawis like it. It is my love for the truth to be known that is motivating me. It is the defense of the truth, and I go out of my way to defend it.
But I could care less for any religion, and those Alawi thugs, I hate them more than any one else. I hate them because they are thugs, and are criminals, but I also see other thugs from different backgrounds and ethnic roots. The Regime is full of all kinds of thugs, Sunnis, Shiaas, Christians, and of course, ALAWIS.
So, be careful when you label other people. You should understand before you label them
Have a great day.
It is time for Syrians to stand up and demand from this evil, corrupt and immorally incompetent United Nation Syrian rights to the Golan and compensation for Sharon destruction of the city of Konaitra.
Now that we got this Iranian-Syrian alliance cemented. Time to focus on getting the Golan back. We need to start a massive program to mobilize the Arab and Islamic world street, even Russian and Europeans against Israeli illegal occupation and the worthless U.N. to enforce implementation of internationally agreed upon 30 years old resolutions.
THAT SHOULD BE OUR FOCUS NOW. NOT COOPERATING WITH FAKE SIDESHOWS OF ZIONIST MANIPULATED U.N.
We should also focus on Israel Nuclear weapons. These weapons are threat to the world and Israel is in violation of 1000s of United Nation Resolutions. Israel must open it’s nuclear installation for inspection and be under control regiment to audit past, present and future operation of it’s nuclear reactor and the whole program.
The Human Rights violations are appalling and have been also the subject of 1000's of condemnations and resolutions by the United Nations, International Right Orgs and the World decent countries.
Many of Israel leaders faces Criminal genocide prosecution in several European countries and are on the wanted list of few of them.
Why are the world ignoring these violations by the Jews in Israel? We must work on highlighting and bringing these U.N. and International violation to the surface and forefront of our struggle globally. The Foreign ministry in Syria is not doing good enough job and neither the Ambassadors.
It is time for President Assad to prepare a campaign that is effective in securing worldwide support for the return of the Golan by imposing global economic and Diplomatic sanctions on Israel, until it fulfill these resolutions and address human right issues.
We must set up media and action funds to finance these worldwide campaigns and expose these Jewish transgressions on our Syrian People and Nation.
The question is today what President Assad is going to do about the Golan? Please have this addressed tomorrow. We are ready to help Syria launch a worldwide campaign to secure our rights and expose the enemy transgressions.
BASTARD ARAB AND MOSLEM REGIMES. RATHER THAN MAKING PEACE WITH THE JEWS AND ZIONISTS, WORKING WITH THE U.N. TO BRING SYRIA DOWN LIKE IRAQ. THEY SHOULD SECURE SYRIA”S RIGHT FIRST AND DEMAND THAT JEWS IN ISRAEL ARE ACCOUNTABLE FOR ALL THE TRANSGRESSION COMMITTED AGAINST THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE.

Your president is busy trying to save himself, and the 50 billion dollars he and his family stole from Syria. His uncle Rifaat has been a good money manager for him in Europe, but it seems that his nephew Monzer assad has had some trouble with his step mother regarding the inheritane of Jamil's share (about 6 billion dollars) with his step mother.
you are an example of corrupted unrelaible Syrians. Your writings against your president bashar is sill not erased, on this same site. What a bunch of opportunistic losers some are!
Dear JAM
I think now you've called pretty much everyone on SC as either corrupt, a thieve, an idiot, an a-hole, unreliable, or worse.
Why don't you pause for a minute and read what you write, your insulting, contradictory, offensive and shallow remarks are having a negative influence on the discussion here.
Oh, and mentioning that Rifaat is 'managing' Bashar's money goes to show how ignorant and out of touch with reality you are. Please spare us your trashy 'analysis'. It seems like you live in Somalia, not Syria, and you don't know jack about Syria or its politics.
